Accessibility is one of ScienceAlert's key values – we launched the website back in 2006 with the goal of making credible science news accessible for all. We are continually striving to make ScienceAlert easier for everyone to read and navigate.

ScienceAlert.com has been designed with simplicity and clarity of text in mind, and has a mobile-first focus, which means all of our articles should be easy to read, regardless of your device or browser.

We don't use expanding or pop-up ads that cover our text, and we ensure our font is easy to read. We are actively working to meet the best-practice recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guide 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) regarding image descriptions, alt text, and more.

If you come across any accessibility issues while reading ScienceAlert, or have any suggestions for us, please contact us. Despite our best intentions, there are limitations in our knowledge and experience and we are grateful for feedback and suggestions as we continually strive to do better for all our readers.
